After spending holiday in Tangier, the Sudanese president returned to his country. Omar Hassan Al Bashir will presume his political activities by holding  a meeting with the Ethiopian Prime Minister Haile Mariam Dessalegn, expected this Tuesday in Khartoum. A very important visit for both countries.

Al Bashir’s visit to Morocco has angered several human rights activists. They have called El Othmani’s government to arrest him according to the two international warrants issued against him by the International Criminal Court in 2009 for «war crimes» and «crimes against humanity» in Darfur.

In Tangier, the Sudanese president held talks with King Salman but did not meet with King Mohammed VI.

For the record, the Sudanese president has been known for having repeatedly defied international justice. In 2015, a South African court seized by an NGO had banned the 71-year-old politician elected since 1989 from leaving South Africa after attending the African Union summit. But he ended up joining his country at the end of the event.
