Ali El Haddachi is an 11-year-old Moroccan kid who was killed in a car accident on Sunday. He was the youngest of his three brothers. Ali was playing football with his friends near his house in Genoa (north-western Italy). At around 7 pm, he was hit by a 57-year-old Italian in his car who was speeding, reports the Italian daily Corriere della Sera, which was quoted by 360.  The incident took place in Ferrada di Moconesi, in the region of Val Fontabuona near Genoa.

«The child was loved by everyone in his neighborhood. (…) The whole country is in solidarity with his family», states the daily. The mayor of the city, Gabriele Trossarello, has expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased : «There no words to comment on this tragedy», states Genova 24.

As for the driver, Maurizio Pappisi, who works as a carpenter, the same source points out that he was with his wife when he hit the Ali. He was arrested immediately after the accident. During the investigation he said  that «the child suddenly appeared on the road and he could not avoid him».
