The second edition of the Climate Chance World summit organized in partnership with the region of Souss-Massa has been inaugurated today, Monday 11 of September, in Agadir, Xenhua reports today.

According to the same source, the summit is to «provide a unique opportunity to review the global climate action agenda set at the UN climate conferences and to assess the progress made by non-state actors across the world».

The event is also a way of supporting innovation and new effective solutions regarding the issues that African cities encounter. The three-day summit is also an initiative that encourages the exchange of good practice and the specific action taken by these actors to combat climate change.

For the record, first edition of the summit was held in Nantes in 2016.
