Moroccan authorities have arrested two people after a Kuwaiti national filed a complaint indicating that they are extorting money, the Arab Times reports quoting Al-Anba, an Arabic-language Kuwaiti daily newspaper.
According to the plaintiff’s lawyer Ali Al-Kandari, the two Moroccan nationals are held in custody. «The Moroccan judiciary is interrogating the suspects and both men are expected to be referred for a trial», the same source stated.
Al Kandari told the same source that he will assess the investigations in Morocco and attend the trial. «There is no fundamental difference between the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco and Kuwaiti laws in crimes of extorting money», he concluded.
