Bangladesh : Morocco sends humanitarian aid to Rohingyas

Emergency humanitarian aid was sent to Bangladesh on Monday to support the country's efforts to cope with the massive influx of refugees from the Muslim minority of the Rohingyas from Myanmar, states the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

«On the very high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God assist him, emergency humanitarian aid was forwarded today to the People's Republic of Bangladesh», the ministry said in a statement.

«This humanitarian action aims at supporting the efforts of this sister country to cope with the massive influx of refugees from the Muslim minority of the Rohingyas from Myanmar», the source said.

«The aid sent by the Kingdom of Morocco consists of tents, blankets, basic foodstuffs and essential medicines. The aid was transferred via an airplane, by the Royal Armed Forces», the statement said.
