Diorh, a consulting firm in the development and optimization of human resources, organized a conference, today in Casablanca, to present the findings of a survey on the level of compensation in structured companies in Morocco in more of 14 sectors.
The findings give an overview about the significant differences between managers and non-executives in Moroccan companies, across all sectors. In addition, the salaries of leaders in Morocco are much higher than those based in Spain, Germany or France. On the other hand, wages of the same category are at the same level when compared to leaders in Tunisia and Romania.
Another observation is that young graduates from foreign schools of engineering and commerce have more facilities to find jobs than those who graduated from the public educational system, with a percentage of 20% difference.
The presentation of the results of the survey carried out by the firm was also an opportunity to address the issue of Morocco's competitiveness on the human resources front. In this regard, Lahcen Haddad, former Minister of Tourism, said that Morocco is competitive in terms of manpower, but that it is much less in terms of top management positions. «The low competitiveness of Morocco in the latter category is due mainly to the overly technical logic of the national education system,» he said.
