EU-Africa-Morocco : A forum to fight against terrorism is in the making

An EU-Africa-Morocco forum to fight against terrorism was examined by the binomial in charge of security issues in the Morocco-Union European Joint Parliamentary Committeee (CPM). This is what announced Anderrahim Atmoun, member of the binomial and co-chairman of the joint Moroccan commission, said in a statement.

«This meeting will have an ambitious roadmap including the fight against terrorism in all its forms,» said the co-chairman of the joint commission. Before adding : «With all that is happening in Mali and the Sahel, the need to involve Africa in this tripartite forum is primordial».

This is the fourth meeting between Abderrahim Atmoun and his European counterpart, Pier Antonio Panzeri, since the creation of the work pairs at the CPM on 7th of September. The objective is to present recommendations at the next meeting in Brussels in June 2018.
