The Greek private airline Air Méditerranée will launch, in early November, weekly direct flights linking the Greek capital Athens to Casablanca.
Three flights will be insured throughout the year on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, a source from the company told MAP news agency.
This new air service will stimulate tourist flows and economic and commercial exchanges between the two countries while facilitating the travel of members of the Moroccan community established in Greece, especially since there are no more direct flights linking the two countries since the Royal Air Maroc has for years stopped travelling to Athens.
The Athens-Casablanca flights, a journey of approximately 2,900 kilometers, will last between 3H20 and 4H20 and will be operated by Boeing 373-400.
The opening of this new line is part of the airline's winter program, which began operations in January.
The company also decided to launch additional routes from November to Stockholm, London, Jeddah, Khartoum and Baghdad.
