Morocco / Algeria : El Moujahid newspaper supports Abdelkader Messahel

Algeria’s reaction to how Morocco condemned the statement of the Algerian Foreign Minister, Abdelkader Messahel is reaching crescendo, creating more tension between the two countries.

After El Khabar and El Bilad, two Algerian newspapers commented on the crisis between the neighboring nations, El Moujahid, an Algerian French-language newspaper issued by its turn an article taking the side of Messahel.

«Abdelkader Messahel said the truth about Morocco, known and shared by all organizations fighting against drug trafficking around the world,» El Moujahid wrote in an editorial released on Wednesday 25th of October. The kingdom's African policy is only a «way of covering the interests of European capitals», it added.

Last Friday, the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs accused Morocco of laundering drugs money through its banking investments in Africa.
