After announcing on his official twitter account that the two men who shot an individual in Marrakech were arrested by the police, Prime Minister Saadaddine El Othmani deleted his tweet going back on his previous announcement. Reportedly, the two assailants are still on the run after killing an individual and injuring others in Marrakech on Thursday 2nd of November.

Earlier this Thursday, two men on a motorcycle opened fire on two clients of a coffee shop near Marrakech Appeal Court. As reported by Kech24, a local online newspaper, the assailants managed to flee the crime scene following the attack leaving at least one death and others injured.
The shooting took place in one of Gueliz' most known neighborhoods, namely l'Hivernage. According to the same source, one of the victims is believed to be death after being shot in the head. A waitress and girl were injured and transferred to a hospital.
A motorcycle and a gun that were allegedly used in the shooting that took place on Thursday, were found three hours after the attack. The scooter and the pistol were set on fire near the Marrakech Menara airport, reported 2M.ma quoting sources close to the investigation.
