The fourth edition of the International Short Film contest «Ana Maghribi(a)» was held Thursday, November 2nd, in Casablanca. During the award ceremony, six prizes were awarded to the participants who submitted videos exceeding 90 seconds on «living together in the city», reports the French institute in a statement.
The jury, chaired this year by actress Latefa Ahrrare, has awarded 3 prizes. The first was granted to Naji Tbel's film «The Wall Paradigm», followed by Ali Benzekri's «Travel Ticket» and Ali Oubkhane's «The Night of My City».
The special prize of the French Institute of Morocco, organizer of this contest, was awarded to Ihab Bensalah and Mehdi Laaribi for their film «Casawi». As for the prize of Société Générale Maroc, partner of the event, it was handed over to Oussama Ait Yassin for his work «Do it for you». Finally, the audiance prize was won by «Les jeunes d’aujourd’hui» by Achraf Abbassi.
The competition launched on April 15 and concluded on September 30th of 2017 focused on life in the city. Nearly 330 people submitted their films to the festival and 71 films were sent from all regions of Morocco, France and the United States.
