Moroccan athletes Moussaab Hadout and Nazha Machrouch won the 33rd edition of the 2017 Media Maraton in Cordoba, held on Sunday with record participation of 8,300 athletes, Spanish media reported on Monday.
Moussaab Hadout arrived first (01h 03min 54sec), ahead of the Spanish athlete of Guinean descent, Alhassane Bangoura (01h 06min 47sec) and another Moroccan national, Abdelfatah Dalal Jirari (01h 06min 49sec).
On the other hand, the Moroccan athlete Nadha Machrouh finished first in 1:15:35, ahead of her Danish rival Jessica Drascalu Petersson (1 :17 :34) and the Spanish Marta Polo (1 :19 :43).
The Cordoba Half Marathon is one of the most important competitions of its kind in Spain and it is the most important sporting event in the province.
