The clashes that erupted on November 25 between sub-Saharan migrants and residents of Derb El Kebir neighborhood in Casablanca are finally making it to the House of Representatives. The weekly session of oral questions this afternoon was marked by the partial intervention of an MP from the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM).
He openly accused «the 850 migrants staying at the Oulad Ziane bus station and the Omar Beggar football field» of «forming criminal gangs». The elected official warned against the proliferation of «these bands" and on the danger they have on the «security of citizens in Casablanca, and in the whole country.»
Interior Minister Noureddine Boutayeb, who was answering questions addressed to his department, did not comment on what the MP said.
