An average of fifty buses travel to Morocco from Brussels during the peak season. The absence of a large bus station often leads bus drivers to park in Stalingrad Avenue or in the surrounding streets. Nevertheless, car traffic in these streets is blocked, reports the Belgian regional newspaper LaCapitale, quoted by the Dutch-language media house Bruzz.

Minister of Mobility and Public Works of the Brussels Capital Region, Pascal Smet, came up with a solution. Pascal Smet, in consultation with the city of Brussels, wants to provide parking in the Stalingrad Avenue and by the Fontainas square. Indeed, most travel agencies that offer tickets to Morocco are located in this urban district.

In accordance to this, the parking would only serve to load and unload luggage. Passengers could board and descend nearby.

In the long term, the Brussels Minister of Mobility and Public Works is considering the construction of a large bus station in the region.
