Yasin Ben El-Mhanni allegedly bullied by Newcastle’s coach

Yasin Ben El-Mhanni, an English professional footballer of Moroccan descent who plays as a winger for Newcastle United, has claimed that he was bullied by Peter Beardsley, the current manager of the British club. According to Press Association, a multimedia news agency operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland, Ben El-Mhanni has lodged a complaint against Beardsley.

As reported by the Dailymail, Beardsley has allegedly made racist comments to one of his players during a trip to Go Ape, an outdoor adventure company which runs Tree Top Adventures, Forest Segways, Tree Top Junior Adventures and Zip Trekking Adventures.

According to the same source, the former English footballer, is «unlikely to continue in his role as Newcastle United» while he is under investigation for racism. He allegedly told an African player trying to climb on some bars : «Why are you taking so long ? Your lot should be good at this».

Meanwhile, five of Yasin Ben El-Mhanni’s colleagues have supported his claims. The 22-year-old player’s grievance meeting took place on Thursday and he has been told that he couldn’t play.

Ben El-Mhanni was also contacted by a Newcastle ex-player who also announced that he was also bullied by the same coach.

For the record, Yasin Ben El-Mhanni, was born in shepherd’s Bush in London. He joined the Newcastle United club in 2016. Son of Moroccan parents, his debut came on the 18th of January 2017 in the third round of the FA Cup finals, in which he played 70 minutes in a 3–1 win over Championship rivals Birmingham.
