Football : Jawad El Yamiq to join Genoa

Jawad El Yamiq, a 25-year-old professional center-back footballer, is to join the Genoa Cricket and Football Club, a professional Italian football and cricket club based in the city of Genoa, Italy, reports Kingfut.

The Moroccan footballer, who played in the past for Raja Club Athletic, has signed a four-year contract with Genoa for 800, 000 Euros. Jawad El Yamiq C.S. Marítimo was also trying to sign him up but the offer was not as good as the team wanted.

In 2017, he was summoned to the Moroccan national A team for the first time by coach Hervé Renard to compensate for the absence of Moroccan player Medhi Benatia. He played his first friendly on March 24 against Burkina Faso at the Grand Stadium in Marrakech.
