A Moroccan national was expelled from Italy to Morocco for security reasons, reports the Italian news agency ANSA on Thursday. The 25-year-old man is accused of sexually harassing female staff at the center where he was staying.

He was later arrested for violently attacking the police while they were trying to check his identity. The investigation suggests that while in prison, the man claimed that he belongs to the terrorist organization (ISIS) and that he is intending to carry out an attack in the city of Brindisi (southern Italy).

The Moroccan national was hence extradited in a flight from Milan Malpensa airport to Casablanca for adopting extremist religious opinions.

For the record, from the first of January 2015 till now 254 individuals were expelled from Italy for the same reasons.
