Doha supports Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara. A position made public on Monday 12th of March by the Qatari Prime Minister at the end of the 7th session of the Joint Commission between the two countries held in Rabat.

Doha «would not accept a solution to the Sahara conflict that denies the Moroccan sovereignty», Abdillah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani told media.

Qatar’s support comes as the Kingdom backed the country through its crisis with the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Morocco is one of the few allies of Ryad and Abu Dhabi to reject the campaign launched against Doha starting from the May 2017 summit against terrorism.
