240 kilograms of hashish were seized Tuesday, 13th of March, by the police after being stuffed in orange juice cartons to be exported at the Casablanca port, reports AFP.
The authorities declared that the substance was found after a check of the shipment supposed to carry fruit drinks. According to the French news agency which quoted a statement issued by the Moroccan authorities, «bricks of cannabis resin totaling 240 kilograms (530 pounds) were found carefully concealed inside cartons of orange juice from a local brand».
To make the cartons weigh the same as a consignment of juice, the smugglers put sand inside.
