Morocco reveals the details of its World Cup bid

In a press conference held on Saturday, details on Morocco's World Cup bid submitted on Thursday in Zurich were unveiled, as well as the promotional campaign set to host the continental competition, said a communiqué issued by the bid committee.

Indeed, this meeting has revealed the promotional campaign for the Moroccan bid, the slogan and the official website Morocco 2026.

Chairperson of the bid committee, Moulay Hafid Elalamy stressed that hosting the FIFA World Cup is part of the country's economic and social development strategy. He also presented the 12 cities designated to host this competition, according to international criteria.

Thus, Moulay Hafid Elalamy highlighted the quality of the 14 stadiums proposed. «Ultra-modern speakers, and refined architecture» that «comply with the FIFA's requirements», said the same source.

«The choice of cities, all located less than 550 kilometers from Casablanca and ideally connected, transportation wise, will offer the best conditions to players and their supporters,» adds the same source.
