Morocco is ready to organize the 2026 World Cup, said Tuesday in Rabat, the former French president, Francois Hollande.

«The Moroccan bid is a very good one that I strongly support,» said the former French president in a statement to media at a conference he chaired in Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI).

«The Moroccan football team is excellent, the conditions required to host such an event are met and the needed equipments are perfectly developed,» adds François Hollande. «I believe in this bid and France will be on Morocco’s side,» he insisted, adding that the kingdom’s file is perfect for the organization of the 2026 World Cup.

«A great history of friendship and cooperation is shared between Morocco and France», stated the former French president, noting that there is much to do together, especially when it comes to restraining peace.
