France backs the Morocco’s bid to organize the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup, said on Thursday the head of the French Football Federation (FFF). In a meeting held on the 22nd of March at the FFF headquarters and attended by President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation Fuzi LEkjaa and his French counterpart Noël Le Graët, the French federation insisted that it is a strong supporter of the Moroccan proposal, reports the Moroccan Football federation on its official website.
Le Graët said that France will back the Moroccan file, highlighting the strong bilateral relations between the two countries. Meanhwile, LEkjaa recalled that the Moroccan bid meets the requirements set by the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA).
At the end of this meeting, Lekjaa flew to Italy to attend the last training session of the Atlas Lions before the friendly game against Serbia scheduled for Friday night.
