The UK-Morocco Trade & Investment Forum 2018 kicked off Tuesday in London with the aim of developing economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Moroccan delegation to the forum, led by Minister of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Boussaid, includes Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mounia Boucetta, Secretary of State for Investment, Othman El Ferdaous, and Director General of the Moroccan Office for Hydrocarbons and Mining Amina Benkhadra, in addition to representatives of the Moroccan Employers' Association (CGEM) and the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN).
British Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt, Baroness Fairhead, Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion, Morocco’s ambassador to London, Abdesselam Aboudrar, and Andrew Murrison, Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Morocco, are also taking part in the event.
The UK-Morocco Trade & Investment Forum 2018, organized by Morocco’s embassy in London and the Developing Markets Associates (DMA), aims to showcase the huge opportunities that Morocco has both within the country and wider afield as a gateway to the region.
The plenary session will cover the bilateral business and trade relationship between the UK and Morocco, the burgeoning economic sectors that Morocco has, and the rapidly expanding environmental and renewable space.
