«FAR fighter jets are conducting reconnaissance flights throughout the region to detect new incursions by the Polisario armed elements in the buffer zones, similar to those recorded on March the 29th and April the 1st,» a source close to the file told Yabiladi.

Air force planes also have the task of locating possible movements of the civilian population of Tindouf camps, including those of nomads and shepherds, towards certain areas located near the security wall.

With the support of Algeria, the Polisario plans indeed to change the nature of the conflict in Western Sahara, and settling down in the buffer zones monitored by the UN since the 1991 cease-fire.
