A survey conducted jointly by Mediapart and the Belgian online newspaper Le Vif, provided evidence for the story of a Belgian-Moroccan woman who claimed being granted by Islamist scholar Tariq Ramadan a significant amount of money (27 000 euro) to keep quiet.

Their story that lasted 5 years can be summed up in one word: «destructive». The woman identified as Majda. B, believes that her relationship with Ramadan was abusive describing him as «destructive manipulator».

The case dates back to 2014, the same year during which Majda published a manuscript entitled «Un voyage en eaux troubles avec Tariq Ramadan». She also posted many videos where she explained her misadventures with the Islamologist. In a video filmed on a terrace in Morocco, she says she is not «scared» of facing the famous figure, said Mediapart.

All these videos and the manuscript have disappeared, following an agreement between Majda and Ramadan. In 2015, a Belgian court issued a ruling ordering Majda to erase all publications on the Internet and to stop publishing new ones.

The price of her silence was 27,000 Euros granted by the Swiss scholar. Moreover, Mediapart says that the woman could soon be brought to testify in the ongoing judicial investigation in France.

For the record, Tariq Ramadan was arrested on February the 2nd for raping and sexualmy assaulting two women including one who is physically challenged. At the beginning of March, a third alleged victim came out of his silence.
