Mohammed VI visited the Directorate General for Territory Surveillance (DGST) headquarters in Rabat on Tuesday 24th of April. King inquired about units of the rapid reaction group under the DGST and reviewed the equipment, vehicles and logistics used in intervention operations to deal with the dangers of the terrorist threat and the various forms of organized crime, including cross-border crime.
He then inaugurated the new specialized training Institute and visited its various components. It is an integrated security complex built on a total area of 35,000 m2, and essentially comprising a conference amphitheater, eleven study rooms, a laboratory for teaching foreign languages, a conference room, a library, in addition to infrastructure for trainers and administrative staff.

During this visit, explanations were provided to the King on the new infrastructure inaugurated as part of the royal vision for modernizing public security and strengthening the principles of the new security governance.
The sovereign also inquired about the project for the construction of medical analysis laboratory for National Security and National Territory Surveillance officials, currently under construction in Rabat, which is likely to strengthen the medical and health services offered to security officials.
