In a video published on the official Twitter account of the Moroccan World Cup Committee, French former footballer David Trezeguet announced that he supports the Moroccan bid, joining the list of ambassadors hired by the Kingdom to promote its bid.

The French striker who helped France win the 1998 World Cup has been officially named ambassador for the Moroccan bid.
For the record, Morocco is competing against a joint bid launched by the USA, Canada and Mexico to organize the FIFA international tournament. In a vote to be hosted June the 13th by Russia football federations will have to chose one of the two bidding nations.
Morocco has hired distinguished football players to represent its bid namely, former German footballer Lothar Matthäus, Roberto Carlos, Mustapha Hadji, Mehdi Benatia, El Hadji Diouf, Daniel Amokachi and Lakhdar Belloumi.
