Moroccan Judoka and mixed martial artist Rizlen Zouak was defeated Saturday, 26th of May, in front of South African flyweight champion Amanda Lino, in an epic fight held in Durban, South Africa.
The 7-minute fight was organized by the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC), one of the world's leading Mixed Martial Arts organizations available in over 600 million homes worldwide.
«I want to be the alpha female in the EFC», said Zouak before her EFC fight, adding that «Amanda Lino is Number 1 in the organization. So I need to beat her to be the greatest».
Despite her great performance throughout the fight, Zouak was defeated after her rival managed to take control of the ring in the last few seconds.
«It’s an opportunity for me to fight for a belt, and to become more acquainted with the people of South Africa and Durban. And for Amanda, it’s a chance to make history by becoming the first two-division champion in the history of the EFC,’ Zouak told IOL.
Rizlen Zouak was not discouraged by her latest fight. On her Twitter account she wrote that : «It’s my sport, I am going to write my history with my team and you».
