Bayazid-Jacques Bourequat, held for 19 years in prison with his two brothers Midhat-René and Ali-Auguste, will be buried at the cimetière parisien de Thiais at around 2pm according to Banali El Manouzi.

Born on January 23rd, 1933 in Marrakech, Bayazid was abducted alongside his two brothers Ali and Midhat in July 1973. «They were released in 1991. They were held at PF3, a secret prison, until 1975», says Benali El Manouzi, recalls that the Bourequat brothers were imprisoned with «Houcine El Manouzi, Mohamed Ababou, Chellat, Mzirek and Akka». Detainees with whom they «tried to escape on 12/7/1975» after they were found and rearrested.

On the same year, their mother and sister Khadija were abducted in 1975 and detained for more than 16 months before being released. In 1980, the three brothers were transferred to Tazmamart, a secret prison that hosted army officers involved in the 1972 and 1973 failed coup d’états against King Hassan II, until they were released in 1991 alongside 25 other prisoners.

Once released, they «moved to France, where they were hospitalized for a long time».
