Moroccan-Belgian footballer Marouane Fellaini, who currently plays for Manchester United, has renewed his contract with the English club, extending it to June 2020, said the United on Friday.
The Premier League midfielder has been playing with United since 2013. He made 156 appearances with the club and scored 20 goals.

«I am pleased to be continuing my journey as a Manchester United player. I made this decision because I am very happy here. Also, I feel like this team, under Jose, still has a lot we want to achieve», wrote Fellaini Friday on his official Twitter account.
«I would like to say a special thank you to Jose for the faith he has always shown in me. My focus now is on the World Cup and I am looking forward to a successful season ahead», he added, referring to Jose Mourhino, the manager of Premier League club Manchester United.
«I am very happy Marouane is staying with us. I always believed in his desire to stay with the club and I am delighted that he has signed a new contract», said Mourhino.
The 30-year-old player can extend his current contract for a further year, indicated the same source.
For the record, Marouane Fellaini was born in Etterbeek, Belgium, to Moroccan parents from Tangier. He played for several groups, including Anderlecht, R.A.E.C. Mons, Royal Francs Borains, Charleroi S.C. and Standard Liège.
He played for England's Everton before joining Manchester. Starting from 2007, he became a full international for Belgium.
