FIFA has fined the Royal Moroccan Football Federation 65,000 Swiss francs (MAD621 593/ $65,650) for misconduct, says Associated Press on Saturday.

The football governing body warned Moroccan winger Nordin Amrabat for a comment he made on Video Assistant Referee system (VAR) during the game the Atlas Lions played against Spain (2-2) in Kaliningrad.

The fine targeted also six Morocco staff who «forced their way into the pitch after the final whistle»,wrote the American press agency.

Meanwhile, Patric Beaunelle, who serves as the team's coach assistant received a warning for «improper behavior».

FIFA's fine was directed at Moroccan fans for «crowd disturbances» and «throwing objects in the stadium».

Royal Moroccan Football Federation president Fouzi Lekjaa was also warned for «coming to the team technical area during the game», said the same source.

For the record, Morocco's football federation has sent a letter to FIFA complaining about referees' mistakes during the World Cup.

Morocco was not the only country to be fined by FIFA. Reportedly, Mexico's federation was fined 15,000 Swiss francs (MAD143 445) for throwing objects during the team's game against Sweden.
