Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy Moulay Hafid Elalamy inaugurated on Wednesday, 4th of July, in Casablanca two new aeronautical plants, says MAP.

The first plant is an STTS aircraft painting facility, a SATYS French subsidiary and the second one is a logistics platform for the Société fronco-marocaine de logistique aéronautique (SFML), based in Nouaceur.

Speaking during the inauguration, Elalamy said that the two facilities are part of the Stelia Aerospace project initiated two years ago in Casablanca. He stressed that the implementation of these plants will boost the aeronautics sector in the Kingdom, which has achieved «encouraging results».

Meanwhile, SATYS president Christophe Cador said that the new facilities have required an investment of about 2 million Euros and will create 50 job opportunities in the future.

Abderrahim Ouatas, managing director of SFML declared that the project is a joint venture between the two companies Groupe Blondel (France) and Lina Holding (Morocco).
