Ittihad Jeddah announced the new deal on Twitter, posting a photo of El Ahmadi with his new jersey. The defensive midfielder signed a two-year contract on Monday with the club.
Media recently reported that the 33-year-old midfielder from Feynord Rotterdam approved his transfer to the Saudi club directly after he participated to the World Cup with the Atlas Lions.
In addition to El Ahmadi, the Saudi club has hired Australia's Matthew Norman (2 seasons) and Brazil's Jonas De Souza (3 seasons).
