The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) rejected on Thursday, 19th of July, a complaint lodged by the Polisario Front to put an end to the EU-Morocco fisheries agreement, concluded in December 2013.
The CJEU’s decision, published on its website, dismisses the Front’s action as inadmissible. It also recalls that the Front does not have standing to act against these agreements. Moreover, the EU Court ordered Brahim Ghali to cover the court costs.
For the record, the Front filed a complaint in 2014 to end the fisheries agreement signed by Morocco and the European Union, which ended on July the 14th. The two parties managed to renew the treaty on Tuesday.
