After the National Rally of Independents politician Mohamed Boussaid was sacked, Wednesday 2nd of August, by King Mohammed VI, Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Aziz Akhannouch said that the sovereign was «only exercising powers guaranteed by the Constitution», reports Arabic-language online newspaper Hespress.

The monarch decided on Wednesday to dismiss Boussaid who served for two terms as the Kingdom’s minister of Finance and Economy. The decision was taken two days after King Mohammed VI celebrated in Al Hoceima the Throne Day.

«The National Rally of Independents party respects the instructions of King Mohammed VI following the Throne speech, which paved the way for several strategic, economic and social directions», Akhannouch told the same source.

He added that his party «is ready to work on finding solutions for problems that matter to citizens».

For the record, the King’s decision came as the head of the Court of Audit Driss Jettou and the governor of the central bank Abdellatif Jouahri presented reports in Al Hoceima during the Throne day festivities.
