Cooperation between Morocco and Spain in the fight against terrorism is «excellent» and an example to follow for other countries in the region, said, on Friday in New York, Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borrell.
«Cooperation between Spain and Morocco in the fight against terrorism is an example to follow for other countries to address this scourge, because it is a cooperation that is beneficial for both parties», said Borrel in a statement to the press after his meeting with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Describing his meeting with his Moroccan peer as «constructive and positive», the Spanish official said that the meeting touched on several issues of common interest, including cooperation between the two countries in the field of migration to face the growing inflows of sub-Saharan migrants and the process of ratifying the Morocco-European Union fisheries agreement by the European Parliament.
The Spanish Minister welcomed the cooperation between the two countries in the management of migratory inflows.
