Spain and Morocco suspend goods crossing in Tarajal due to national police festivities

The Moroccan and Spanish authorities have decided to suspend the transfer of goods at the borders on Tuesday, 2nd of October, as Spain’s national police is commemorating its annual festivities known as los Santos Ángeles Custodios, reports EFE.

Police sources told the news agency that Spain issued a calendar last week, indicating that the Trajal transfer will take place on Obtober the 2nd. However, at the last minute, they decided to postpone the operation until Wednesday.

More than 17,000 vehicles have crossed the Tarajal border crossing, separating Ceuta from Morocco during the last week, says EFE quoting data released by the government. 3,654 of these vehicles were carrying goods.

The total number of vehicles that passed through border customs was 17,077.
