Security Council : Colin Stewart to hold a briefing Thursday on the MINURSO

On Tuesday, the Security Council housed a meeting held by the countries that contribute to the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO). Last night’s meeting came as the UN Secretary-General published a report on the situation in Western Sahara for the last seven months.

On Thursday, 11th of October, a briefing will be held by the head of the mission, Colin Stewart. The United Nations official will have to comment on the observations made by Antonio Guterres’ report on the MINURSO.

On the 29th of October, debates on the mission will be concluded a new resolution will be adopted.
