Moroccan earth observation satellite «Mohammed VI-A» can track down the slightest movements of the Polisario, said on Wednesday the Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York Omar Hilale.
Hilale welcomed the fact that the Kingdom «has been fortunate enough to use advanced technology».
«Thanks to this satellite, designed on the initiative of His Majesty the King, Morocco has equipped itself with a surveillance instrument that allows us to track down the slightest movements of the Polisario’s separatists … everyday, every minute and every second».
Unlike before, «we are now able to monitor the movements of these separatists and inform the United Nations about them, relying on photos», he said, adding that «this enables us to put pressure on the Polisario’s separatists, detect and denounce their maneuvers».
