King Mohammed VI spoke on Monday, November the 5th, with Rwandan President Paul Kagame on the phone, said the royal cabinet in a statement.
Their phone conversation comes days before the opening of the «African Union extraordinary summit, scheduled for November the 16th and 17th, in Addis Ababa and during which important decisions will be taken to reform the organization», added the same source.
«On this occasion, the Sovereign encouraged President Kagame (...) and assured him of his full support of the vision he has to reform the Pan-African organization».
The next African Union summit will focus on the reviewing of the continental organization's bodies. The idea was discussed on the 12th and 13th of September, during a session of the African Union Executive Council in the Ethiopian capital.
The telephone conversation allowed King Mohammed VI and Paul Kagame to address «the positive factors and promising prospects of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Rwanda in all fields», concluded the royal cabinet.
