Diwan Awards Holland honors successful Moroccan-Dutch nationals in the Netherlands

The first edition of Diwan Awards Holland, an initiative held to honor Dutch people with bicultural backgrounds, was held on November the 3rd in the Hague (Netherlands), awarding several Moroccan-Dutch personalities in several categories, says a communiqué sent Monday to Yabiladi.

The event organized by Ahmed Larouz, a Moroccan-Dutch social innovator entrepreneur and marketing manager, was an opportunity to spotlight the successes of Moroccan nationals living in the Netherlands and highlight their projects.

The awards were granted to people from different categories, including legal profession and law, technology & IT, education, entrepreneurship, management, foundation, sport, art and communication, medicine and health, and influencers.

The Diwan Awards Holland paid a tribute to Moroccan-Dutch former footballer Abdelhak Nouri. His family and friends attended the ceremony and a check of 15.000 euro was granted to the Nouri Foundation.

The event was attended by distinguished artists and businessmen from the Moroccan community in the Netherlands, including Rachid Guernaoui, alderman of Finance Integration and Municipalities of The Hague, Bouchra Baibanu, the first Moroccan and North African woman to climb Mount Everest, entrepreneur Iman Oubou and Hollywood Composer Youssef Guezoum.
