Saudi Arabia has appointed Abdellah Ben Saad Al Ghariri as the new ambassador to Morocco. In 2008, King Abdellah appointed him Chief of Protocol Affairs. A position that allowed him to know Morocco closely thanks to the many times he visted the country alongside King Abdellah, especially during the last years of his life.

In fact, the Saudi king was recovering at the royal palace in Agadir. After the death of prince Sultan and King Abdellah, respectively in 2011 and 2015, Al Ghariri was appointed as a member of the «Shura Council».

In Rabat the new ambassador will replace his compatriot, Abdelaziz Al Khouja, appointed in January 2016.
