Eyewitnesses saw a Moroccan girl jump in front of a train that entered the station of Pisa in Italy. The 19-year-old Moroccan girl died on Sunday afternoon, surrendering to her wounds after she was hit by a train carrying goods and coming to Pontedera, an industrial town in the province of Pisa.
According to Italian newspapers Il Tirreno and Il Fogliettone, the victim was three months pregnant.
Investigators suggest that the woman committed suicide. The young girl had been in Italy for some time and lived with a family in Pisano. The body of the young woman was transferred to the morgue of Pisa.
The incident affected rail traffic in the region and delayed 20 scheduled trains on the Florence-Pisa route.
