Moroccan-Dutch footballer Ismail H’Maidat sentenced to 46 months in prison

The Criminal Court of Turnhout sentenced, on Monday, Moroccan-Dutch footballer Ismail H'Maidat to 46 months in prison.

He was prosecuted for having participated in five armed robberies near Turnhout (Belgium). The events took place on New Year’s Eve and on January the 6th.

The public prosecutor in Turnhout requested that the footballer receives a four-year sentence.  

Ismail H'Maidat and his accomplice, another Dutch man in his twenties, was also sentenced to 46 months in prison.

Ismail H'Maidat is reputed of being a trouble maker. He was kicked out of FC Twente when he was 12 years old and went through seven training centers before joining Brescia in 2014.
