Morocco : Unofficial sources comment on Mohamed Ben Salmane’s foreign policy

According to London-based newspaper Al Quds Al Arabi, «Moroccan authorities have refused to receive Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed Ben Salmane», who is expected to go on a tour to several North African countries.

Sources told the Arabic-language newspaper that the refusal was «based on the busy schedule of King Mohammed VI».

To address the Saudi-Moroccan diplomatic relations, online newspaper Al Jarida 24 published an article, on Monday, relying on the analysis of Moroccan academic Rachid Lazrak. A second article was published by the same newspaper, on Tuesday, on the same topic.

The two articles shed light on Mohamed Ben Salmane’s foreign policy and indicated that his strategy is new to the way in which Moroccan and Saudi diplomatic relations were handled in the past.
