China Cultural Center was officially inaugurated Tuesday, December the 18th, in Rabat, says MAP news agency.
Located in the Agdal district, the center which covers nearly 2,500 square meters, contains a conference and training room, a library, a theater and classrooms for language teaching, music, dance and painting.
«It is of great significance for China and Morocco to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in culture and tourism», said China's Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism Li Jinzao on the ceremony, report Xinhua.
The ceremony was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Morocco Li Li, Moroccan Minister of Culture and Communication Mohamed El Aaraj, and Moroccan Minister of Tourism Mohammed Sajid.
Speaking to the same source, El Aaraj said that the Kingdom «attaches great importance to the cultural exchanges and interactions with China», adding that «the China Cultural Center in Rabat will play an important role in promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the two sides».
The China Cultural Center was opened in Rabat after the signing of a memorandum of understanding in 2016.
