During the 45th Ordinary Meeting of the African Parliament of Civil Society (PASOCI), held from the 15th to the 18th of December in Benin, Algeria's Ali Sahel was appointed as vice president of the body's international relations committee, reports APS.

The meeting, hosted by Cotonou, was attended by 30 members of the African Union who welcomed «Algeria's migration policy».

In the Beninese capital, Algeria managed to convince PASOCI's executive board into accepting the membership of the Sahrawi Social Forum and the Sahrawi Women's Union from the Polisario.

The two new members will be part of the PASOCI's delegation expected to travel to the European Parliament in February.
