Mina, a Casablanca Foods brand that makes tea, is introducing its organic line of teas in the US, reports New York Times.
After selling Harissa condiments and Moroccan sauces, the company is launching Moroccan tea «with toasty overtones; Atay, a traditional blend of mint with Chinese green tea that’s usually served sweetened; and Louiza, or lemon verbena», the same source wrote.
The tea comes also in sachets and biodegradable bags that do not have any staples, pins or metal.
The Mina tea line is certified organic by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), a federal executive department responsible for developing and executing federal laws related to farming, forestry, and food.
Mina’s teas are also Kosher, which means that they can be consumed by orthodox Jews.
For the record, Casablanca Foods is a family-owned business that «brings the flavors of Morocco to American kitchens», wrote the New York firm on its website. The company is led by New York City personal chef Mina Kallamani.
