The two Swiss nationals arrested for alleged links with the Imlil murders met in the Geneva mosque, also known as the Petit-Saconnex Mosque, revealed Saturday La Tribune de Geneve quoted by Swiss newspaper 20 Minutes.

The mosque which was financed by the Saudi-led Muslim World League, was home to a number of imams considered to be a serious threat to national security. It was also a breeding ground for the radicalization of several young people, including one of the arrestees.

«There have been major failures, a total lack of surveillance that has allowed some of these people to secretary meet in the mosque», said Arab World expert Hasni Abidi. However, the situation has changed : «The mosque promised a change that must be carried through the promotion of moderate Islam. This is its last chance».

For the record, on December 29th, a Spanish-Swiss national living in Morocco was arrested by the Central Bureau for Judicial Investigations (BCIJ).

The investigation revealed that the man recruited Moroccan and sub-Saharan citizens to carry terrorist acts in Morocco. On Thursday, January 10, a British national who bears a Swiss citizenship was arrested in Temara for his alleged «links» with ISIS fighters. The man was living in Morocco and did not return to Switzerland recently.
