The Spanish national police arrested, Tuesday, a Moroccan man in Manilva (southern Spain), for his alleged membership of the terrorist organization ISIS.
In a statement, the Spanish police say that the 27-year-old individual is also suspected of advocating terrorism on social networks.
According to the same source, the investigation revealed that the suspect «maintained contacts via the Internet with Daesh terrorists in the Syrian zone controlled by this terrorist organization, to whom he reportedly expressed his willingness to join them and fight alongside them».
The arrested person was unable to travel to Syrian territory, «because of the current difficulties faced by the terrorist organization in that country and the lack of financial resources», the same source underlines.
In recent months, he has intensified his terrorist propaganda activities on social networks, the statement notes, adding that his publications were increasingly radical.
The investigators say that the suspect was willing to commit a terrorist attack in any place.
